It's a booming time for the laptop market at the moment, with sales going through the roof off the back of advancing technology and rapidly falling prices. Portable machines now start at under RM 7000, and while you won't get an all-singing, all-dancing solution for that kind of money, you will get a perfectly adequate word processing, Web surfing and e-mail sending machine.
